Can simple control over your mind be accomplished using these 3 ways?
How to make the most out of your mind?
Your mind is one of the most powerful things in this world. There is no such thing as a genius mind and a dumb mind. The structure of every mind is the same. There is only one thing that differentiates an intelligent person from a stupid one. How does the intelligent person train his mind? And trust me anyone can do it. Trust me, ANYONE!
Myth breaking time: I have heard people say “You can only train your mind until the age of 21. Your mind is hard to train post age 21”
Fact: This is completely wrong. Even a 60-year-old man/woman(added only to please the feminists :) HAHA) can learn complex calculus.
Calculus is the mathematical study of continuous change, in the same way, that geometry is the study of shape and algebra is the study of generalizations of arithmetic operations.
Everything in this world is a result of vibrations. You have to make your mind vibrations resonate with the vibrations of the task you want to achieve. By doing so you won't even have to lift your little finger to achieve your goals.
(If you understood the previous paragraph you can skip the next one)
If you didn't understand the vibrations part, do not worry I’ve got it covered with a simpler example. In the older days, when there were no televisions, people used to listen to the radio. In order to listen to the channel without any disruption, you need to set it to the correct frequency. The resonance of radio frequency with the broadcasting channel frequency cancels the noise. Hence you can listen to crystal clear voices. Similarly, if your mind vibrations match the vibrations of your goal, it will be easier to achieve it.
2. Understanding what are mind vibrations.
In simple words, mind vibrations are your daily thoughts. Every little thought that comes to your mind has a deep effect on your mind functions. Don't believe me? Try out the task below and satisfy yourself
Fun task to check the power of resonance! (Only if you are guilty of hammering that snooze button in the morning)
Set an alarm for 6 in the morning. Record a voice message saying the following sentence 108 times. “I will wake up tomorrow at 6 am”. The recording will not exceed 5 mins. Play it every night before going to sleep. I don't want you to listen to it like a song. While listening you should imagine yourself waking up and stepping out of your bed. You should think about a couple of morning activities that you'll be doing. Feel the message with every repetition. Try this for 1 week and tell me if you don't see any effect.
Note:
108 is a very powerful number. I'll make a separate blog about it.
You can modify the message to reflect the changes in your life.
Prerequisite for next step:
What are the conscious and unconscious minds? (Skip to the next step if you are aware of it)
According to the famous psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, there are 3 levels of mind.
Conscious mind
Preconscious mind
Unconscious mind
The conscious mind is the tip of the iceberg which is visible above the water level. It contains memory, thoughts, and feelings. We use this part for processing and thinking rationally.
Example: Calculate 2+3+4. Got the answer? Is it 9? Congratulations, you just used your conscious mind. Even if the answer is wrong, you have used your conscious mind.
The Preconscious mind is the part of the iceberg beneath the water level but is still visible. It contains all the information that can be accessed by the conscious mind whenever needed.
Example: Think of returning home from your friend’s place. You don’t stop your car at every turn to think “Which way should I go now?”. Right? You instinctively take the turns and reach home. Yay! You used your preconscious mind to allow this information into your conscious mind.
The unconscious mind is the part that contains feelings and emotions that we are unaware(unconscious) about. These feelings and emotions are accessed in both the conscious and unconscious states of a human.
Example1: Have you ever addressed your girlfriend with your ex-girlfriend’s name? Well, that's embarrassing. But this is when your unconscious mind is used in a conscious state.
Example2: This is quite straightforward. Dreaming is an example of using your unconscious mind in an unconscious state.
Take a day or two to finalize your goal. Once you have clarity about it, make sure you write it down somewhere. It can be your whiteboard, diary, notebook, or even a wall if you live away from your parents.
“Psychology professor Dr. Gail Matthews, at the Dominican University in California, led a study on goal-setting with nearly 270 participants. The results? You are 42 percent more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down.”
Make sure you read that goal and imagine yourself living the life once that goal is achieved. Every little detail of that imagination adds to the success of achieving your goal. These imaginations will give you control to create and add thoughts of your choice to the unconscious mind.
Have you ever felt motivated about a certain thing but over the course of time that motivation fades away. This is because you don't have control over thoughts in your unconscious mind. Over a period of time, some random thoughts snatch the spot in your mind that was occupied by your motivation. But not anymore, since you are following the steps mentioned below.
By reading your goals daily you set them in your conscious memory and your mind.
Your detailed imagination of achieving the goal sets them in your subconscious memory. unconscious mind
This way you will never lack motivation making you achieve all your goals.
Conclusion
Once you gain control over the vibrations you can control your mind. Hence this gives you the ultimate power to achieve any goal that you want.
